The position of Sales Manager will be based out of Louisville, KY!

Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to training and educational programs for clients and sales personnel.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the focus area, aligning with regional goals
  • Lead the Outside Sales team to achieve sales, customer development, product mix, and GP goals
  • Interface with customer functions to identify needs and develop new client relationships
  • Hire, train, and develop salespeople to maximize effectiveness and satisfaction
  • Ensure sales personnel have the necessary product or technical expertise through training programs
  • Meet with key clients and assist sales representatives in maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Track and measure promotional programs and product launches against sales objectives
  • Prepare and present sales reports regularly
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Educate sales personnel and customers about products and target accounts
  • Use market analysis to determine customer needs, pricing, discounts, and evaluate competition
  • Manage T&E expenditures within budget
  • Utilize digital tools for sales analysis and coaching
  • Lead digital strategy around connected customers and eSales
  • Lead supplier engagement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years sales experience
  • 2+ years relevant sales experience
  • 2+ years of sales leadership preferred
  • Experience with Industrial and Utility customers
  • Experience in electrical distribution or similar B2B industry
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Valid Driver’s License
