As our Sales Manager for Huntsville, Alabama, you’ll be a driving force behind our growth in this dynamic market. Your focus will be on prospecting new business, from cold calling to in-person meetings with potential clients, all while embracing the Denver way of building strong, lasting relationships. Working closely with local General Managers, you’ll help strengthen our pipeline, grow market share, and expand our presence in the dry van trailer rental industry.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a prospecting strategy in collaboration with COO and GMs to target new business opportunities.
  2. Identify potential customers through cold calling, emailing, in-person visits, and networking to drive new business.
  3. Spend approximately 75% of time in the field visiting prospects and engaging with potential clients to assess needs and present solutions.
  4. Collaborate with GMs to align strategies for market penetration and onboarding of new clients.
  5. Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, working with GMs to meet customer needs.
  6. Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure timely follow-ups to convert leads into accounts.
  7. Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking to build connections and gather market intelligence.
  8. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to adapt sales strategies and capitalize on opportunities.
  9. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned to support business growth.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong understanding of dry van trailer rental market and storage & cartage solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Exceptional prospecting skills including cold calling, emailing, and in-person outreach.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to identify opportunities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in sales, business development, or new account acquisition, preferably in related industries.
  • Willingness to travel within the region, primarily local travel (up to 50%).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
