Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Sales Manager for Industrial & Optical Films to lead our TPU Films sales effort. You will directly manage existing complex key accounts, collaborating with Sales Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Product Management to drive growth and strengthen customer partnerships.

The role requires a technical background and 10+ years in technical sales with 5+ years in sales management. Travel up to 40%+ is expected; remote work options may be available depending on location.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in Technical Sales.
• 5+ years’ sales management with company direct and/or independent sales rep.
• Experience in complex matrix organizations with multicultural customers.
• Experience in sales of films, paper, or nonwovens for industrial end uses is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Ability to travel 40%+, including overnight travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mativ is growing and actively searching for a Sales Manager to lead our Industrial & Optical TPU Films Sales commercial effort. This position will report to the Sales Leader for Surface Solutions Films and will be responsible for directlymanagingexistingcomplex key accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive collaboration with internal capabilities in Sales Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Product management and Plant Operations
• Deepen connections with customers and advance technical product knowledge to become a preferred supplier/partner.
• Build a pipeline to ensure growth for the future and close new business to hit revenue targets.
• Retention and expansion of accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decision makers and users within an organization.
• Provide direct account management and resource coordination.
• Work with a sense of curiosity and creativity to identify opportunities and to deliver results.
• Customer focused mindset, high sense of urgency, accountability, and sound commercial decision making.
• Continually develop and apply strong economic thinking skills and prioritization based on economic value across all commercial activities.
• Negotiate deals with disciplined market point-of-views and supporting competitive market analysis.
• Experience with sales planning that focuses on both short-term and long-term opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree (technical field is a plus)
• 10+ years’ experience in Technical Sales
• 5+ years’ sales management with company direct and/or independent sales rep
• Experience in complex matrix organizations with demonstrated ability to understand and transact with multicultural customers.
• Experience in sales of films, paper, or nonwovens for industrial end uses is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills at all levels within the company and with all external clients
• Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Experience generating and interpreting market dynamics to drive recommendations to internal and external business leaders.
• Ability to travel 40%+, including overnight travel. Eastern US location is a plus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The annual salary range for this position is $140,000-$150,000. This role is also sales incentive plan eligible. This posting will close within 90 days of the date posted.
