Position Overview
Acting as a Co-Founder, responsible for driving SaaS and Hybrid SaaS revenue growth within the Pharmaceutical/Bio-Pharma and Medical Device industries, as well as software vendors providing solutions to these companies. The role involves generating subscription and follow-on services sales to meet ARR targets and leveraging a strategic, value-based sales approach to develop and execute multi-channel account strategies for Named Accounts and New Logo prospects.
- Identify and address industry-specific challenges, tailoring value-driven solutions to customer needs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and partners to execute account strategies and drive business growth.
- Serve as the primary contact for account knowledge while mentoring junior sales team members and sharing insights.
Key Responsibilities
Account Planning
- Define short-term goals for named accounts to achieve software and services revenue targets.
- Develop account-specific strategies aligned with customer buyer journeys, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Identify and execute go-to-market channels, campaigns, and tactics to meet account goals.
Prospecting and Discovery
- Manage a personal pipeline of leads and suspects, qualifying opportunities to meet revenue targets.
- Conduct targeted campaigns and develop new customer relationships to identify challenges and propose solutions.
- Evaluate customer requirements, determine ROI, and assess risks to drive informed sales decisions.
Opportunity Management
- Guide customers through the buying process, highlighting the value of Sanatio solutions.
- Develop stakeholder strategies and build influential networks within customer accounts.
- Monitor adoption and success metrics post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term value realization.
Sales Administration, Analytics, and Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records using appropriate CRM tools.
- Analyze win/loss outcomes to identify actionable improvements.
- Prepare bid responses and reports for management to support sales strategy refinement.
Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing
- Participate in internal interest groups and share insights on customer trends, solutions, and best practices.
- Attend industry and regulatory conferences to understand the changing needs of compliance and develop leads.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, And Experience
- Proven experience growing the company from 0 to multiple customers.
- Expertise in SaaS and software sales processes, CRM systems, and digital industry software.
- Strong skills in conflict management, negotiation, facilitation, and analytical problem-solving.
- Business acumen with the ability to lead customer relationships and deliver compelling presentations.
- Proven track record in software sales, including SaaS, in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industries.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue with new sales and new logos.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biological Sciences, Marketing, or Sales (or equivalent experience).
Other Requirements
- Domestic travel up to 50%.
- Experience working with 15-20 small to medium accounts, managing a personal sales quota.
This is an equity-only position at this time, along with a percentage commission of each deal signed upon revenue recognition. Salary will be offered upon raising funding, which is expected after closing some deals.
