Location: 2113 Brea Mall, Brea, CA

Position Objective

The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in the general operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. Performs various sales and register transactions.

Functional Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers; responds to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Handles basic operations including cash handling, reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties; reviews payroll documentation for accuracy.
• Monitors sales activities and productivity; acknowledges and communicates performance to associates; motivates and trains staff to achieve goals.
• Maintains awareness of customers to enhance service and security; stays current on operational policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security practices.
• Knowledgeable of current sales and promotions; displays merchandise according to standards.
• Supports inventory receipt and dispatch in line with company policies.
• Supervises sales associates, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, and customer service; prepares weekly schedules for store coverage.
• Models sales techniques, shares product knowledge, and assists customers in merchandise selection.
• Builds a customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
• Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as assigned.
• Participates in visual merchandising and store set-ups.
• Assists in employee development; interprets KPI reports; provides coaching and feedback to store management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18+ years old
• 2+ years retail or sales management experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel within district stores
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of store operations
• Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds, stand, maneuver, and perform physical tasks
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays

Wage range: $17.50 - $21.90, based on qualifications.
