POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting store management in daily operations to ensure an excellent customer experience and maximize profitability. Performs various sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote customer service by greeting and assisting customers; respond to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Handle basic operational activities including cash handling, reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties; review and submit payroll documentation accurately.
- Monitor sales activities and productivity; communicate performance feedback; motivate and train associates to achieve targets.
- Maintain customer awareness to enhance service levels and reduce security risks; stay updated on operational policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security.
- Stay knowledgeable about current sales and promotions; display merchandise according to standards.
- Support inventory and supplies receipt and dispatch following company policies.
- Supervise associates involved in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, or customer services; prepare weekly schedules ensuring proper coverage within fiscal guidelines.
- Model sales techniques, share product knowledge, and assist customers in merchandise selection based on their needs.
- Build and maintain customer relationships through clienteling and wardrobe styling.
- Ensure standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Participate in visual merchandising directives, including store set-ups and replenishments.
- Assist in developing store associates; interpret KPI reports, provide coaching, and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Perform other duties as assigned, noting that responsibilities may vary across different brands.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years retail or sales management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willing to travel within the district.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of store operations and administrative procedures.
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, operate registers, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks.
- Reliable attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
