POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead supports store management in daily operations to ensure excellent customer service and profitability. Responsibilities include performing sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, respond professionally to inquiries and complaints.
- Operational Activities: Handle cash, report transactions, manage merchandise, and perform opening and closing duties. Review payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Sales Monitoring: Oversee associate sales activities, motivate, and train staff to achieve goals.
- Security and Awareness: Monitor customer activity to enhance service and reduce risks. Stay informed on payment, exchange policies, and security practices.
- Merchandise Knowledge: Stay updated on sales and promotions. Display merchandise according to standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies following company policies.
- Supervision: Oversee sales associates, manage schedules, and ensure proper coverage.
- Customer Engagement: Use techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs, promote sales, and build customer loyalty.
- Store Standards: Maintain merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and other store duties.
- Visual Merchandising: Participate in visual directives, store setups, and merchandise replenishment.
- Team Development: Support associate development, interpret KPIs, provide coaching, and assist with performance appraisals.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, noting that duties may vary across brands.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Preferably 2+ years in retail or sales management
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to travel within the district
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of store operations
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, operate register, lift 50 lbs, and perform related tasks
- Reliable attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
