POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in the general operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. Performs various sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes customer service by ensuring associates are greeting and assisting customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Performs operational activities including cash handling and reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and open and closing duties; reviews time sheets and payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Monitors sales activities and productivity; acknowledges and communicates performance to associates; motivates and trains them to achieve goals.
- Maintains awareness of customers to increase service levels and reduce security risks; stays current on policies regarding payment, exchanges, and security practices.
- Knowledge of current sales and promotions; presents and displays merchandise according to current standards.
- Supports inventory management and supplies dispatch following company policies.
- Supervises sales associates involved in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, or customer service; prepares weekly schedules to ensure proper coverage.
- Models sales expectations by utilizing techniques and product knowledge; assists customers in merchandise selection.
- Builds customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobe styling.
- Maintains standards in merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Participates in visual merchandising including store set-ups and replenishment.
- Assists in staff development by interpreting KPIs, delivering coaching, and providing feedback for performance appraisals.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferred: 2+ years retail or sales management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to travel within district stores
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of store operations
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate equipment
- Regular attendance required
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
