Job summary

Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio, offers a Summer Internship Program of 10–12 weeks for undergraduates entering their senior year. The program provides real-world projects, mentoring, leadership development, networking with leaders, and the chance to interview for full-time roles.

As a Sales Intern, you will assist in improving sales processes, contact prospective and current customers by phone and email, develop reporting and dashboards, and help create standard selling procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in General Business, Finance, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, preferred.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028, preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

Summer Internship Program Overview

Cardinal Health’s Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-12 week experience designed for undergraduate students who will be entering their senior year and are eager to make an impact. As an intern, you’ll work on meaningful, business-critical projects that contribute to real outcomes while gaining exposure to the healthcare industry.

Job Description Summary

Location: Dublin, Ohio

Start Date: May 17 or 24, 2027

Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks

*Assistance with temporary housing is provided for students not local to the internship location.

As a Sales Intern , you could potentially support the organization in several of the following ways:

• Improve sales operational effectiveness with ongoing process improvement and/or technology
• Call on prospective customers and/or current customers via phone and email to generate interest in Cardinal Health
• Proactively identify and execute enhancements that reduce sales leakage
• Support business objectives and projects by developing, maintaining, and presenting reporting and dashboarding
• Assist in the development and updating of standard selling and sales operating procedures
• Amplify team accountability to deliver on commitments and drive cross functional collaboration
• Other duties upon request

Qualifications

To be considered for the Cardinal Health Summer 2026 Internship Program, candidates should meet a combination of the following criteria:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in General Business, Finance, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, preferred
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028, preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), preferred
• Participation in extracurricular activities, community organizations and/or professional associations
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
