Job summary

Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio, is offering a Summer 2027 Sales Internship designed for undergraduates entering their senior year. The 10–12 week program partners interns with Cardinal Health professionals on real projects, with mentoring, training, and opportunities to present results to leaders.

You’ll call on prospective customers, support sales processes, develop dashboards and reporting, and explore full-time roles after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field, with graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help improve sales operational effectiveness through process improvements or technology.
• Call on prospective and current customers via phone and email to generate interest.
• Identify and implement enhancements to reduce sales leakage.
• Develop, maintain, and present reporting and dashboards to support business objectives.
• Assist in developing and updating standard selling and sales operating procedures.
• Collaborate across teams to drive accountability and cross-functional work.

Summer Internship Program Overview

Cardinal Health's Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-12 week experience designed for undergraduate students who will be entering their senior year and are eager to make an impact. As an intern, you'll work on meaningful, business-critical projects that contribute to real outcomes while gaining exposure to the healthcare industry.

Job Description Summary

Location: Dublin, Ohio

Start Date: May 17 or 24, 2027

Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks

*Assistance with temporary housing is provided for students not local to the internship location.

As a Sales Intern , you could potentially support the organization in several of the following ways:

• Improve sales operational effectiveness with ongoing process improvement and/or technology
• Call on prospective customers and/or current customers via phone and email to generate interest in Cardinal Health
• Proactively identify and execute enhancements that reduce sales leakage
• Support business objectives and projects by developing, maintaining, and presenting reporting and dashboarding
• Assist in the development and updating of standard selling and sales operating procedures
• Amplify team accountability to deliver on commitments and drive cross functional collaboration
• Other duties upon request

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in General Business, Finance, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, preferred
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028, preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), preferred
• Participation in extracurricular activities, community organizations and/or professional associations
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
