Job summary

Holmes Murphy in Kansas City, MO invites you to join our Summer 2027 Sales Internship. This 10-week on-site program exposes you to brokerage services, growth opportunities, and client acquisition through hands-on projects and mentorship.

You will rotate through teams, identify opportunities, build client relationships, and present proposals, while developing professional communication and teamwork skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or in pursuit of enrollment at a 4-year institution.
• Examples of prior majors’ interns have pursued: Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance, and more.
• Prior work experience is a plus, preferable in a customer service or administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Assisting in building relationships with prospective clients
• Collaborating across departments to deliver value-driven proposals
• Supporting full-time sales team members in contributing to company profitability
• Attending sales meetings
• Attending community activities & association meetings to promote Holmes Murphy
• Preparing and delivering proactive sales presentations to leaders and mentors
• Additional duties as assigned
