Job summary

Steel Dynamics Structural & Rail Division is offering a Sales Intern position in the United States. You will support inside sales, manage customer inquiries, and assist with order entry, quotes, and related administrative tasks.

Ideal candidates are business/marketing students who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required; internships include housing and 401(k) options and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in business or marketing.
• Junior year completed is required.
• Preferred GPA of at least 2.7.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a team and help teammates daily.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Strong data entry skills and accuracy.
• Flexible to changing priorities.
• Able to communicate with all levels of staff.

What Are My Responsibilities as a Sales Intern at Steel Dynamics Structural & Rail Division?

• Manage a variety of customer service functions, including responding to customer inquiries and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Support Inside Sales Representatives by assisting with order entry, quote preparation, and sales-related administrative tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing product availability inquiries, delivery status questions, and troubleshooting customer concerns.
• Maintain and update pricing information and freight equalization data to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute reports to support sales operations and business decision-making.

• Candidate should be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in a business or marketing related major
• Must have completed their junior year
• Preferred GPA at least 2.7
• Must be highly proficient with PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
