Job summary

Musco Lighting is seeking a Sales Intern at our Corporate Headquarters in Oskaloosa, IA. The intern will gain hands-on experience by observing and supporting sales calls, collaborating with the USA Field Sales team, and assisting with audits and market research.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving, with full-time weekday hours and occasional evenings or events. Valid driver’s license is required; internship runs Summer 2027: June–August.

Qualifications

• Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sports and Rec Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Motivated self‑starter and collaborative problem solver.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Travel with Regional Sales Associates (RSA) and Sales Representatives to observe and support customer sales calls.
• Partner with the Director of USA Field Sales, Regional Sales Managers, and Sales Associate Supervisor to support Musco sales functions and Team initiatives.
• Work alongside RSAs to understand the marketplace and Musco’s solutions.
• Assist with developing plans to complete lighting audits, market research, and other special projects.
• Support customer tours of Musco facilities by assisting with preparation and coordination.
• Conduct market research and contribute to the college conference final group project.
• Full‑time availability to work, Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 p.m.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, Saturdays, and special events.
• Overnight travel as needed.
• Valid U.S. driver's license required for operating company vehicles.
