Job summary

Holmes Murphy in Waukee, IA is offering a 10-week Sales Internship for Summer 2027. This on-site program lets interns rotate across Brokerage Services and focus on growth and client acquisition.

You will assist in identifying opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients, and deliver value-driven proposals while learning from experienced mentors and leaders in our brokerage team. Open to students currently enrolled at a four-year institution across majors; paid experience with

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or in pursuit of enrollment at a 4-year institution.
• Examples of prior majors’ interns have pursued: Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance, and more.
• Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Assisting in building relationships with prospective clients
• Collaborating across departments to deliver value‑driven proposals
• Supporting full‑time sales team members in contributing to company profitability
• Attending sales meetings
• Attending community activities & association meetings to promote Holmes Murphy
• Preparing and delivering proactive sales presentations to leaders and mentors
• Additional duties as assigned
