Job summary

United Rentals in Houston is seeking a Branch Sales Intern who will learn the sales process by spending time in both inside and outside sales with a continuous focus on customer service excellence.

You will shadow sales roles, receive training on RentalMan and Salesforce, participate in departmental meetings, and build foundational industry knowledge with the goal of advancing to a Sales Associate role upon degree completion.

Qualifications

• Organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety training and PPE compliance.
• Support branch workflow: equipment check-in, washing, and customer assistance.
• Shadow inside and outside sales roles to learn responsibilities.
• Training on RentalMan and Salesforce.com systems.
• Join departmental meetings, ride-alongs, and cross-functional sessions.
• Other duties as needed.
