Job summary

Smith Douglas Homes is seeking Summer 2027 Sales Interns to gain hands-on experience in residential new home sales. Interns will work with New Home Sales Specialists and community teams across the Southeast and Texas in an 8-week, full-time program with paid compensation.

Responsibilities include assisting Sales Agents in model homes, greeting prospective buyers, and supporting CRM and follow-up activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Professional Sales, Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred, not required).
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Availability to work weekends throughout the 8-week program.

• Welcome and engage prospective homebuyers visiting the community.
• Provide general information about the community, homes, floorplans, etc.
• Assist with lead follow-up and customer communication.
• Help maintain model home appearance and merchandising standards.
• Participate in community marketing efforts, events, and promotions.
• Learn and use CRM and sales tracking systems.
• Observe the sales process from initial prospect interaction through contract and closing.
• Complete administrative and organizational tasks as needed.

Position Summary:

Smith Douglas Homes is excited to offer an 8-week Summer Sales Internship Program designed to give college students hands-on experience in residential new home sales. This immersive program allows interns to work directly with New Home Sales Specialists and community teams, gaining real-world exposure to customer engagement, sales operations, and the homebuilding industry.

This internship is ideal for students interested in sales, marketing, real estate, business, or construction-related careers who want practical, professional experience in a customer-facing role.

Program Dates & Commitment

• Schedule: Full-time 40-hours per week; weekends required after completing first two weeks of the program.


• Location: On-site at designated Smith Douglas Homes communities


• Compensation: Paid Internship

Key Responsibilities
