Job summary

Chelsea Piers seeks part-time Sales & Hospitality Associates for our youth swim facility in Chelsea, Manhattan. You will deliver superior customer service, execute sales initiatives, and support operations from the main desk, with a focus on experiences that boost member engagement.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in hospitality or sales, strong interpersonal skills, and good communication. Weekend availability is required; this role is based at Chelsea Piers in New York, NY.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality, event, or catering sales.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Zoho; Zoho experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hospitality: greet customers, address questions, build relationships, troubleshoot issues, ensure strong customer experience.
• Sales: help achieve team sales targets, provide excellent sales experience, upsell and cross-sell opportunities, support seasonal campaigns.
• Operations: work at main desk, assist with attendance/registration, support scheduling and check-in procedures, attend weekly meetings.

In this role, you will be responsible for both delivering superior customer service and executing sales initiatives. This role reports to the Sales + Hospitality Manager and works closely with all teams.As the Sales & Hospitality Associate, you will be expected to:Hospitality Responsibilities:Leverage connectivity and retention opportunities by engaging and building relationships with members and customersAddress customer questions, comments, or concerns in a timely mannerTroubleshoot emerging issues as they arise; always prioritizing the customer experienceGreet customers in an energetic and friendly manner as the enter the facilityRespond to inbound inquiries about offerings, registration, etc. through our Customer Relationship Management system (Zoho)Sales Responsibilites:Help achieve team sales pace and targets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basisProvide a highly competitive, satisfactory, and uncompromising sales experience to all new, current, and potential clientsInitiate or execute projects for the sales team, and drive engagement with seasonal experiences (ex: Summer Camp)Be educated with a working knowledge of all product and service offerings to leverage all upselling and cross selling opportunitiesOperations Responsibilities:Work a minimum of two shifts at the main desk / weekMaintain in-stock and presentable conditions in all assigned work areasAttend weekly departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support operationsAid team members in all attendance, scheduling, registration, and check-in proceduresThis is not comprehensive list of responsibilities, which can change at any time at the discretion of your supervisor.About You:You are personable, goal-oriented, and adaptable.
