Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking Sales Representatives to grow a floorcovering sales territory and manage relationships with customers. You will secure new accounts while maintaining existing ones, using professional selling tools for pre-call planning and documenting calls.

You will develop a territory market strategy, conduct product demonstrations, and compare competing products to win business. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance and includes benefits such as health

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends, with or without accommodations.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Job description

Sales Representatives initiate and manage relationships with customers and serve as the point of contact for the Company. This position will be responsible for growing a floorcovering sales territory. In this position, you will secure new accounts while maintaining existing customer accounts. You will utilize professional selling tools for pre-call planning and documenting sales calls. You'll develop a territory market strategy, as well as conduct product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons.

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.   • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
  • Maintain client records
  • Answer client questions about terms, products, prices, and availability
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams
  • Have previous work experience conducting outside sales calls
  • Have at least an associate's degree in business, sales, or marketing
  • Have previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products
  • Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management ("CRM") systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
