Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Sales Representative in Monroeville, PA to grow a floorcovering sales territory and secure new accounts while nurturing existing relationships.

You will develop territory market strategies, conduct product demonstrations, and perform pre-call planning using professional selling tools. Eligible for bonus based on performance and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements include: 18+ years of age, legal work authorization, valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Preferred qualifications include: 1+ year as Assistant Store/Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams, outside sales experience, associate degree in business/sales/marketing, experience selling floorcovering, CRM/timekeeping proficiency, willingness to relocate, bilingual abilities.

You'll develop a territory market strategy, as well as conduct product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons.

This position will be responsible for growing a floorcovering sales territory. In this position, you will secure new accounts while maintaining existing customer accounts. You will utilize professional selling tools for pre-call planning and documenting sales calls. You'll develop a territory market strategy, as well as conduct product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons.
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategy to grow sales and profits to key, opportunity, new and existing customers
  • Effectively build relationships with customers by understanding and supporting their business
  • Conduct product demonstrations to support solutions for the customer
  • Develop working relationships with stores to achieve business goals
  • Generate leads
  • Help determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs
  • Understand and promote company programs
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders
  • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
  • Maintain client records
  • Answer client questions about terms, products, prices, and availability
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams
  • Have previous work experience conducting outside sales calls
  • Have at least an associate's degree in business, sales, or marketing
  • Have previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products
  • Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
