Role Overview

The Sales Floor Department Supervisor is responsible for leading a team to deliver excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and organized store, and supporting merchandising and operational tasks. This includes coaching staff, managing performance, handling customer interactions, and ensuring store safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Providing resources and tools to support customer service.
2. Assisting with stocking, recovery, and merchandising decisions.
3. Monitoring safe use of store equipment and coaching on safety techniques.
4. Leading and coaching associates, delegating tasks, and managing performance.
5. Engaging in customer-facing activities such as greeting, needs clarification, and closing sales.
6. Managing non-customer activities like inventory and safety walks.
7. Occasionally opening or closing the store or acting as manager-on-duty.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with 3-5 years retail experience.
• At least 1 year in customer service and supporting Pro customers.
• Experience supervising teams and training associates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with physical ability for job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years retail customer service experience.
• Leadership experience with direct reports.
• Experience in home improvement retail and fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of store computer systems.

Additional Information
