The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in Springfield, IL, is seeking a property and casualty field territory underwriter to evaluate, price, and approve risks while growing profitable agency partnerships. This field role covers Central or Southern Illinois.

You will work with independent agents, develop territory plans, and lead cross-functional teams. Travel is required to visit agencies, and the compensation includes base pay with bonus and stock incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years multiline commercial underwriting experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Relevant insurance industry certifications (CIC or CPCU) are a plus.

With a commitment to excellence and building strong agency relationships, our Sales and Marketing department is looking for a property and casualty field territory underwriter. As a field-based underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating, assessing, and pricing risks while leading profitable growth for our agency partners in your territory. This position is for our Central or Southern Illinois territory. The pay range for this position is $108,000 - $182,400 annually. Our competitive compensation package is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Bring Education And Experience From

• relevant insurance industry certifications (e.g., Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), professional selling) are a plus
