Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical or commercial discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in account management, business development, or technical sales in industrial markets.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans, manage complex sales opportunities from lead to purchase order, and identify whitespace, greenfield, and brownfield opportunities.
• Strong experience engaging key customer stakeholders, understanding business and operational challenges, and positioning differentiated solutions that create customer value.
• Solid commercial and technical understanding of industrial automation, control systems, power generation, or related technologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and commercial teams while independently managing customer relationships, opportunities, pricing, forecasting, and CRM activities

• Identify, develop, and advance new business opportunities from initial engagement through purchase order.
• Collaborate across sales, technical, and business teams to support complex pursuits and strategic customer initiatives.
• Effectively position the Emerson portfolio to deliver customer value while supporting pricing objectives.
• Monitor industry trends, customer priorities, and competitive activities to identify emerging opportunities and market needs.
• Maintain accurate account plans, opportunity records, forecasts, and customer information within CRM and sales technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience in power generation, industrial automation, energy, or process industries.


• Strong knowledge of automation and control technologies, including DCS platforms; experience with Emerson Ovation or equivalent solutions is a plus.


• Proven success in strategic account development, whitespace identification, and greenfield/brownfield opportunity creation.


• Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles and value-based solution selling.


• Strong business acumen and demonstrated skills in negotiation, pricing, forecasting, and account planning.


• Ability to build relationships and influence technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.


• Strong collaboration skills across sales, business development, engineering, and technical teams.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
