Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000 based on experience with commission available

Responsibilities:
The Sales Executive will play an important role in helping to acquire new customers, generating revenue, and delivering on the brand promise of the company for our specialty crops portfolio. This position will sell into our Alternative and Other Crops portfolio, which includes: Ornamental Plants (with an emphasis on Roses), Fiber Plants (with an emphasis on Industrial Hemp), Medicinal Plants, and Conifer Plants (with an emphasis on the forestry, paper, and pulp industry). The role involves aggressively pursuing new customers for plant orders and molecular plant diagnostic services within our market segments.
· Discover, qualify, and pursue leads through cold calling, networking, or other methods to establish contact and secure meetings with qualified customers who can benefit from our products and services.
· Close deals efficiently and promptly.
· Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
· Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant & Soil Science, or Agriculture.
· 5 years’ demonstrated sales experience.
Experience & Skills:
· Master’s degree in Horticulture, Plant & Soil Science, or Agronomy preferred.
· Agricultural, greenhouse, horticulture sales experience with a track record of success selling to commercial growers, plant breeders, and nurseries in the USA, especially the West Coast (global sales experience is a plus).
· Existing network of grower and nursery relationships within the specified crop portfolios.
· Ability to establish productive business relationships quickly.
· Deep knowledge of challenges faced by growers in the agricultural and horticultural markets.
· Strong work ethic and urgency in closing deals.
· Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to lead sales efforts and collaborate internally for optimal customer experience.
· Presenting to customers and industry via in-person or remote video (Zoom).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Multitasking skills to handle multiple leads and accounts in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-directed and independent worker.
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Location: Remote role focused on the agriculture market in the Western United States, preferably in Central/Eastern Washington, with extensive regional travel.
