Role Description
The Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA. This position is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing a pipeline of prospects, and closing sales for LST Group’s transportation and logistics services. Daily activities include conducting outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings, preparing proposals and RFP/RFQ responses, and coordinating with operations and analytics teams to design customized solutions. The Sales Executive will maintain strong relationships with existing clients, track market trends, and provide regular sales forecasts and reports. The role also involves attending industry events, representing the company to potential clients, and contributing to sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Proven sales and business development experience in logistics, transportation, or related industries.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions.
- Working knowledge of multi-mode transportation (e.g., liquid bulk, hazmat, truckload, reefer, flatbed) and logistics processes.
- Ability to manage RFP/RFQ processes, including proposal development and pricing coordination.
- Comfort with business analytics and freight spend analysis to support data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with strong follow-through on sales activities.
- Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA and travel locally or regionally as needed for client meetings.
- Proficiency with CRM software and standard office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
