Sports Venue Padding, Inc. (SVP) is seeking a driven Sales Executive / Business Developer with a passion for sports. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated “hunter” capable of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, particularly with Division 1, 2, and 3 universities and professional sports teams. This role requires discipline, persistence, and the ability to engage with VP- and Director-level clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive sales proposals for prospective customers
  • Create marketing and social media communications programs targeted at colleges, universities, and sports teams
  • Engage with existing customers, including catalog distribution accounts, dealers, franchises, and digital print clients as needed
  • Travel nationwide (as approved by VP of Sales) to meet potential clients and confirm venue measurements
  • Attend and participate in industry trade shows (approximately four per year)
  • Perform high-volume cold calls to generate new leads and grow business
Qualifications
  • Passion for sports and ability to relate to clients in the sports industry
  • Understanding of budget differences between D1, D2, and D3 schools
  • Experience working from an existing sales list
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven (“fire in the belly”)
  • Experience interacting with VP- and Director-level clients
  • Experience in proposal management and sales ranging from $50K-$300K
  • Ability to plan and execute regional travel and cold-call strategy efficiently
