Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a dynamic Sales and Catering Manager for The Hanover Inn in Hanover, NH. You will drive group and conference sales, support the Director of Sales & Marketing, and help achieve revenue goals and social media initiatives.

The role requires 2–4 years in hospitality sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with Salesforce/Delphi and Microsoft Office. On-site position with community engagement duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field.
  • Two to four years of sales experience in hospitality.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication; strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce/Delphi and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Ability to prospect, qualify, and secure new business.

Responsibilities

  • Generate group, conference, and event sales revenue for the hotel.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies across rooms, F&B, and conference services.
  • Support social media initiatives to promote college events, conferences, and game-day experiences.
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new business while growing existing accounts.
  • Partner with the conference planning team to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Prepare creative sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct site inspections to showcase the property’s offerings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to establish the hotel as their preferred venue.
  • Participate in community engagement and promote the hotel within Hanover and Dartmouth communities.

About our property: The Hanover Inn has a rich legacy of hospitality stretching all the way back to its humble beginning back in 1780 when the Inn first welcomed guests as a Tavern. What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales and Catering Manager to help drive group and conference sales while supporting the Director of Sales & Marketing in achieving revenue goals, social media initiatives and strategic business development.

Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Generate group, conference, and event sales revenue for the hotel, focusing on both local, national and social markets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue across rooms, F&B, and conference services.
  • Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing Social Media marketing initiatives to support the hotel’s position as the premier destination for college events, conferences, reunions, and game‑day experiences.
  • Actively prospect, qualify, and secure new business while growing existing accounts through relationship building and targeted outreach.
  • Partner with the conference planning team to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare creative sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct site inspections to showcase the property’s offerings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to establish the hotel as their preferred venue.
  • Participate in community engagement and actively promote the hotel within the Hanover and Dartmouth communities.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Two to four years of sales experience in the hospitality industry or a related sales field
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence prospects and hotel guests.
  • Experience with Salesforce/Delphi and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Results‑oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence, i.e. letters, reports, proposals.
  • Appropriate and accurate grammar and punctuation in written communication.
  • Ability to maximize impact, maintains interest, and establishes a rapport with your audience when conveying information.
  • Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources.
  • Understanding the positioning of the hotel, services provided, and how the hotel can meet the needs of clients.
  • English is a must; other languages are a plus.
  • Basic math skills.
Compensation

$60000 - $65000
