Job summary

Coustic-Glo is seeking a Sales Estimator to join our on-site team in Simi Valley, CA. You will build relationships with clients, review plans, and produce detailed estimates and proposals for acoustical ceilings and specialty wall treatments.

The role requires frequent client visits, collaboration with GC and facility owners, and a hands-on approach to pricing decisions. Base salary ranges from $70,000 to $120,000 per year with a quarterly sales bonus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required; additional education in construction or estimating is beneficial.
• Strong customer service and communication skills interacting with general contractors and architects.
• Experience in bids, proposals, and sales support is preferred.
• Willingness to commute to and visit client sites in Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients at sites in Southern California at least twice weekly.
• Review architectural plans and specifications to prepare detailed project estimates and proposals.
• Collaborate with general contractors and facility owners to clarify scope and pricing decisions.
• Gather material and labor costs, and update estimates for design changes.
• Support business development by following up on bids and maintaining relationships.

Role Description The Sales Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Simi Valley, CA. This role is primarily responsible for relationship building in person with clients where locally in Southern California, you are expected to visit 2 clients at least per week. Then reviewing architectural plans and specifications, preparing detailed project estimates, and producing accurate proposals for acoustical ceilings and specialty wall treatments. The Sales Estimator will collaborate closely with general contractors and facility owners to clarify project scope, answer questions, and support pricing decisions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site visits as needed, gathering material and labor costs, coordinating with vendors, and updating estimates based on design changes. The role also involves supporting business development efforts by following up on bids, maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to sales strategies that align with Coustic-Glo’s quality and service standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with General Contractors, architects, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Sales and Business Development experience to manage bids, nurture relationships, and support revenue growth.
• Project Estimation skills, including reading plans and specifications, calculating materials and labor, and preparing detailed proposals. Templates provided.
• Ability to commute to Simi Valley, CA daily, with twice weekly trips in the tri-county area to project locations as required.
• Basic knowledge of construction or acoustical systems, or willingness to learn industry-specific products and installation methods.
• Proficiency with estimating programs, and strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Associates degree or equivalent required; additional education or experience in construction, estimating, or a related field is beneficial.

Base Salary Range - dependent on experience but $70,000 - $120,000/year

Quarterly bonus based on sales performance - $5,000 - uncapped/year
