Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer is responsible for executing sales strategies and building maintaining high-level customer engagement to meet or exceed order growth targets within assigned accounts and product lines. The role involves identifying and developing sales opportunities.

The work model for this role is: Hybrid. #LI-Hybrid

This position contributes to the Medium Voltage Drives in Motion System Drives Division, located in New Berlin, WI, and/or Houston, TX.

You will mainly be accountable for:

  1. Implementing short-term sales plans to develop assigned accounts, customers, and industries; providing regular sales summaries to the Director of Project Sales; focusing efforts on target segments and product lines.
  2. Utilizing SalesForce.com extensively to capture and track opportunities; engaging tendering and technical support teams to influence specifications and develop solutions; providing feedback on customer budgets and market prices.
  3. Working closely with inside sales/tendering teams to define winning strategies during pre-tender stages and actively participating in negotiations for key projects.
  4. Representing the voice of the customer to ensure issues are directed to appropriate groups for resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the electronics industry, including 4+ years in sales and/or marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of medium and/or low voltage AC Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Industry knowledge in Energy, Oil and Gas, Water/Wastewater, Mining, Cement, Metals, or Power sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Technical and analytical thinking with a strong customer focus.
  • Must currently possess work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: Experience working with third-party channel and/or distribution sales partners.
