You will showcase innovative and cost-effective combinations of our products and services to federal clients, assess and create solutions for new federal accounts, and support efforts to convert them into long-term clients.

How you can make a difference:
  1. Complete our 12-week paid sales training, which has won a Brandon Hall Group gold award for excellence in Sales Enablement and Performance Tools.
  2. Perform needs analysis to determine clients’ technical requirements.
  3. Design network solutions, including topologies and specifications.
  4. Prepare and present technical proposals to support sales efforts.
  5. Develop strategic responses for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and TOs.
  6. Engage in field-based sales roles, primarily out in front of clients, with fluidity between home, client location, and office.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to install and integrate products.
  8. Serve as SME for standard and non-standard solutions sales.
What you bring to Spectrum Business:
Required qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience in network engineering, administration, sales engineering, or major accounts; designing IP networks and telephone network design and service delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of RF systems, expert in IP routing protocols, understanding of network design principles, familiarity with Layer 2 and 3 MPLS and TDM services, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Willingness to travel to and from assigned territories and facilities; valid driver’s license required.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CCDA, CCNA, CCNP, or MEF-CECP 2.0.
