Job summary

Kress Corporation, based in Brimfield, IL, seeks a qualified Sales Engineer to help develop specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. You will advise customers on technical solutions, prepare estimates, and respond to tender documents.

You will collaborate with Product Support and Parts Groups, contribute to sales forecasts, and aid in contract administration from bid to hand-off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in a technical/mechanical field.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and site application engineering.
• Budgeting knowledge and numerical decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategy for all assigned products.
• Understand mechanical assemblies for heavy mobile machinery.
• Prepare and respond to tender documents from customers.
• Assist Product Support and Parts Groups in customer support.
• Lead the hand-off process for won projects to ensure proper contract administration.
• Collaborate with all departments to share information and support sales.
• Support in planning and execution of trade shows.
• Stay informed on industry trends and market developments.
