Job summary

Kress Corporation in Brimfield, IL, is seeking a full-time Sales Engineer to support the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. You will evaluate customer needs and translate them into machine specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years in a technical/mechanical role.
• Experience with heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategy for all assigned products.
• Assess mechanical assemblies for heavy mobile machinery.
• Mechanical background and aptitude preferred.
• Create and maintain market analysis for market share and strategy.
• Prepare timely proposals aligned with sales strategy.
• Assist with costing and pricing for components and machines.
• Ensure ERP system is used to share coordinated information.
• Negotiate and execute contracts per risk matrix.
• Lead hand-off to contract administration and project management.
• Maintain relationships while navigating the sales process.
• Advise on technical solutions with internal inputs.
• Contribute to sales forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate across company departments.
• Assist in planning trade shows.
• Stay updated on industry trends.
