Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, seeks a Data Center Sales Engineer to drive profitable revenue growth across designated coverage areas. Industrial Services experience with Data Centers and Industrial water is highly preferred.

Responsibilities include proposing, negotiating, and closing opportunities while building long-term customer relationships. Requires 3–5 years in sales, with Data Center/GC experience preferred; travel up to 50% and ability to work remotely are expected.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years relevant experience; sales experience required.
  • Experience selling to Data Center and/or General Contractor preferred.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s (Engineering) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage industry knowledge to propose and close profitable revenue opportunities.
  • Create and maintain long-term customer relationships across accounts.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and support teams to grow revenue.
  • Manage sales calls, visits, and opportunities; document activities.
  • Travel up to 50% and work with remote teams as needed.

The Sales Engineer has direct responsibility for profitable revenue growth throughout the designated areas of coverage. Industrial Services experience with Data Centers and Industrial water is highly preferred.

  • Works with Management in formulating, developing and implementing market strategies, market penetration and business goals and objectives.

  • Leverage industry and company knowledge to propose, negotiate, close profitable revenue opportunities, and create long-term customer relationships.

  • Analyze customer requirements and market drivers to deliver well-aligned products and services at optimal pricing.

  • Responsible for the account ownership and designated revenue responsibility in assigned accounts.

  • Maintain company/contact information and document all sales calls, customer visits, and business opportunities.

  • Assist with significant job scopes and customer appointments as necessary.

  • Collaborate with local Sales and Operations, Facility Operations, and Vertical Sales to grow revenue.

  • Customer Support. Promote communication and coordination between sales, operations, customer service, and customers.

  • Manage and control sales expenses and ensure the timely submission of business expenses.

  • High School Diploma Required; Bachelor’s (Engineering) preferred.

  • 3-5 years relevant experience; sales experience required.

  • Experience selling to Data Center and/or General Contractor preferred.

  • Industry and company knowledge, selling and negotiation, relationship building.

  • Communication, accountability for completing job responsibilities/objectives.

  • Ability and experience developing relationships within the customer network.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Ability to work remotely.
