Job summary

Luma Health, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer in the United States to empower the sales team with deep technical knowledge and customer-facing demonstrations.

You will articulate how our healthcare messaging, scheduling, and care-delivery solutions address complex provider needs and connect with clinical and IT stakeholders. The role requires strong experience with EHR integrations, patient access workflows, and proposing tailored solutions for healthcare clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in healthcare technology.
• In-depth knowledge of one or more major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, MEDITECH).
• Proven experience with patient access and engagement workflows including scheduling, intake, referral management, and patient communication platforms.

Sales Engineer

What YOU will do at Luma Health:

• Demonstrate with confidence, leverage empathy to create confidence during deal cycle
• Built personal rapport buyers at all levels
• Have confidence to challenge the status quo & de-position competitors
• Engage with healthcare organizations to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team in understanding and addressing customer needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our solutions.
• Assist in the development of customized solutions tailored to meet the unique requirements of healthcare clients.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure seamless integration of our solutions with existing healthcare systems.
• Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive and effective go-to-market strategy.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve our offerings.

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in healthcare technology
• In-depth knowledge of one or more major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, MEDITECH) including integration architecture, not just workflow familiarity
• Proven experience with patient access and engagement workflows including scheduling, intake, referral management, and patient communication platforms
• Solid understanding of Revenue Cycle Management concepts including eligibility verification, prior authorization, referral workflows, and billing processes
• Comfortable discussing API and integration concepts such as HL7, FHIR, and webhooks with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs independently
• Strong discovery skills with the ability to map current-state workflows and connect pain points to product value
• Excellent presentation and demo delivery skills across clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders
• Actively uses AI tools to drive personal productivity and find efficiencies in day-to-day work
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment preferred
• Familiarity with AI-powered voice and messaging products, workflow automation tools, and patient engagement platforms with the ability to demo and position these solutions within complex healthcare organizations is a plus

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Luma also include target bonus + stock options + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision.)

Base Pay Range: $120,000—$140,000 USD
