Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Revenium is hiring a Sales Engineer to accelerate pipeline and close deals by delivering end-to-end technical wins. You will work with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Security to demonstrate value, configure integrations, and prove cost-to-outcome metrics for prospects.
You’ll help customers model usage, provide hands-on demonstrations, and craft repeatable playbooks that scale revenue and improve time-to-value across multiple deals.
Revenium is the AI Economic Control System — the system of record for AI usage, cost, and unit economics, with the controls to enforce pricing and economic guardrails in real time. We make AI products profitable by design.
We give teams three things they can't get anywhere else:
We're not observability and not FinOps. We're the economic ledger — not another dashboard — that makes AI defensible to Finance and scalable for Product.
Why now: In 2026, AI economics is a board-level conversation. FOMO spending is over; leaders now demand unit economics, margin proof, and ROI for every AI dollar. But AI is non-deterministic — one query can trigger 10 API calls or 10,000 — so forecasting breaks, observability can't tie usage to revenue, and FinOps can't attribute spend to customers. Revenium closes that gap, and this role is on the front line of it.

As a Sales Engineer, you're the technical closer in the pre-sales motion. This is a revenue role: your work accelerates pipeline, lifts win rate, shortens time-to-technical-win, and turns evaluations into production deployments.
"Forward Deployed" here means you ship, not just present. You embed with prospects during the sales cycle, lead technical discovery, run workshops, and get hands‑on — instrumenting real AI traffic and standing up transaction‑level attribution so customers see cost, margin, and outcome insights in days, not quarters.
This role is for you if you love executive storytelling and developer-level implementation, the intersection of code and economics (unit costs, margins, pricing), and being the reason deals close.
Own the technical win (end‑to‑end pre‑sales). Partner with AEs to qualify fit, shape deals, and run the technical process from discovery → demo → POV/POC → security review → close. Lead sharp discovery across Engineering, Product, Finance/RevOps, and Security. Translate vague pain (\"AI spend is spiky\") into measurable success criteria — cost per task by customer, margin by product tier, sub‑minute budget alerts. Deliver demos, whiteboards, and workshops that land with engineers and executives alike.
Deploy Revenium into real customer environments. Guide the fastest path to value for the customer's stack: wrap AI calls via SDK/middleware or direct API (typically no app code changes); validate that every transaction carries the metadata to attribute cost and outcome by customer, agent, product, and task; connect provider accounts for a ground‑truth cost baseline; configure real‑time spend limits, alerts, and anomaly detection that block runaways before the bill lands. When relevant, help prospects model usage‑based products, pricing tiers, and quotas — then wire up metering and payments.
Be the technical + economic trusted advisor. Help prospects design metadata conventions Finance trusts and Engineering ships. Guide pricing and packaging with practical examples — tiered usage, bundled credits, per‑task pricing, internal chargeback. Advise on provider selection, model routing, caching, and agent design through the lens of cost, latency, and margin.
Create repeatable playbooks that scale revenue. Build reusable demo environments, POV templates, and reference architectures. Feed field learnings back to Product/Engineering. Enable GTM with trainings, objection handling, and competitive talk tracks.
You'll work with Sales (deal strategy, close plans), Product + Engineering (roadmap feedback, integration patterns), and Customer Success (clean handoff from technical win to onboarding and expansion).
Fluent in the platform (SDKs, provider connections, alerts, analytics, monetization). Deliver your first demo and support active evaluations. Build a reusable technical win‑plan template.
Independently run discovery → POV/POC → technical win across multiple deals. Ship at least one repeatable POV package for a common prospect profile. Become the go‑to for metadata design and cost‑to‑outcome narratives.
Materially improve evaluation‑to‑paid conversion and cut time‑to‑technical‑win. Produce \"why we won\" playbooks and snippets. Advise top strategic accounts and drive expansion.
Primary performance indicators: technical win rate on FDE‑attached deals; POC→close conversion and time‑to‑technical‑win; revenue influenced/sourced with AEs; time‑to‑first‑value; customer references.
Nice to have: AI/LLM stacks (agent frameworks, routing, RAG, observability); usage‑based billing / quote‑to‑cash; FinOps or cloud cost management; high‑velocity startup experience.
Quota‑carrying technical sales role with a competitive base salary plus commission (OTE) . Variable pay is tied to what you most directly influence — technical wins, POC‑to‑close conversion, and revenue sourced with your AEs — with uncapped upside. Plus standard benefits and early‑stage equity (details shared during the process).
AI is no longer just a technical system — it's an economic one. Revenium sits at the intersection of engineering decisions and financial outcomes. As an FDE, you'll help customers protect margins and scale AI profitably while directly driving Revenium's revenue. You won't just count tokens — you'll prove what AI is worth.
Revenium is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diverse backgrounds and perspectives and are committed to building an inclusive team.
