Work directly under the direction of the Vice President of Sales to execute field sales strategy and achieve Pexco Aerospace's overall company sales goals: driving profitable new business, top-line revenue growth, and EBITDA growth. The primary focus is identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across airlines, OEMs, MROs, and design houses. The Sales Engineer serves as a technical advisor and relationship builder, demonstrating the value of Pexco's expanding catalog of plastic cabin interior components and structural/decorative extrusion applications to win in a highly competitive aerospace market.

The Ideal Candidate

A field-driven technical sales professional with a strong bias for action, commercial drive, and customer-focused problem-solving capabilities. This individual thrives in a field environment, spending 40%–60%+ of their time engaged with customers, converting technical inquiries and site visits into booked revenue. They bring a technical mindset, excellent customer intimacy skills, and the persistence to manage the entire sales process from initial lead generation through technical qualification, quotation, and purchase order execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Growth & Sales Strategy Execution
  • Targeted Growth: Works directly under the Vice President of Sales to carry out targeted sales strategies and territory plans that deliver bookings, sales growth, and EBITDA performance at or above plan.

  • Solution Selling: Promotes Pexco's expanding portfolio of decorative and structural cabin interior components, positioning Pexco as a total cabin solutions provider and uncovering cross-selling opportunities across customer accounts.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitors market trends, shifts, and competitive dynamics (pricing, technology, positioning) within assigned territories to position Pexco win strategies effectively.
  • Sales Forecasting: Prepares and maintains accurate short- and long-range sales forecasts, territory development plans, and pipeline insights to support overall business vision and profit management.
Opportunity Management: Customer Visit to Booking
  • Full Cycle Sales: Manages the entire sales lifecycle—from lead generation and RFQ analysis to target pricing, proposal development, formal quotation, negotiation, and securing purchase orders.
  • Customer Intimacy: Conducts proactive customer visits (traveling 40%–60%+), establishing strong technical and commercial relationships with engineers, procurement leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Project Feasibility: Assesses technical feasibility, project scope, and commercial viability of new applications, evaluating margin impact and key value drivers to ensure profitable order intake.
  • Account Follow-Through: Serves as a trusted advisor supporting customers beyond the initial sale, managing program requirements and ensuring superior long-term customer service and retention.
CRM, Reporting & Data-Driven Execution
  • CRM Discipline: Accurately and consistently updates customer records, contacts, activities, opportunities, and pipeline stages in Pexco’s CRM platform (HubSpot).
  • Activity Reporting: Submits timely pre-trip itineraries and detailed post-trip visit reports to keep leadership informed of customer activities, competitive intelligence, and required follow-up actions.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analyzes pipeline metrics and win/loss data to refine sales tactics, increase conversion rates, and align with sales management on top priorities.
Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborates closely with internal engineering, operations, quality, program management, and finance teams to align resources, address technical challenges, and ensure quotes and programs move rapidly.
  • Voice of Customer: Gathers customer feedback and technical requirements to inform new product development, custom extrusion tooling, and engineering solutions.
