Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer to engage with customers via phone and email, collaborating with internal and external partners to tailor metal product solutions.

You will interpret drawings, CAD files, and specifications to align tolerances, materials, and processing options for a robust metal supply chain. The role includes estimating costs and developing pricing templates for awarded work, while ensuring technical accuracy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of sales experience in the metal industry
• Print reading required; CAD or drafting experience a plus
• Experience with SAP is highly preferred
• MS Office software skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience in sales or customer service is an asset
• Working knowledge of geometry, strong math skills, and a technical aptitude

Responsabilités

• Manage part-specific supply chains by utilizing internal and external processing assets to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
• Estimate material, labor, and delivery options on a part-level basis and develop contract pricing templates based on awarded work
• Evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization's quality standards
• Conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific prices
• All other duties as assigned
