Job summary

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an early-career Sales Engineer / Application Engineer to support the Sales team in a customer-facing technical role within a manufacturing/OEM environment. This position is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field.

The role will report to Sales and regularly collaborate with customers, Engineering, Production, Customer Service, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2-3+ years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, manufacturing, technical sales, or related role (preferably in a manufacturing/OEM environment).
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as HubSpot.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for the Sales team during customer engagements by phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Understand customer applications, requirements, and technical constraints and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Work directly with customer engineering and design teams to understand project requirements.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support quoting and product configuration.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production to ensure customer requirements align with manufacturing capabilities.
• Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and product configurations based on customer requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings, conference calls, trade shows, and occasional site visits.
• Support Sales Representatives and Customer Service with technical questions and customer requests.
• Follow up on quotes and proposals and support sales activities and revenue growth.
• Maintain timely communication with customers and help resolve technical or product-related issues.
• Support order entry and coordinate with internal Operations teams to help ensure timely product delivery.
• Support lead nurturing, outbound follow-up, email campaigns, and other sales and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and activity records in the CRM system.
• Develop strong knowledge of company products, applications, manufacturing capabilities, and industry use cases.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2-3+ years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, manufacturing, technical sales, or a related technical role; preferably within a manufacturing or OEM environment.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain engineering concepts.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as HubSpot.
• Strong organizational, project management, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple customer and sales-related priorities.
• Customer-focused, proactive, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
