Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Identify and specify project scope and layout; formulate official quotes to customers.
  • Review quote requests for adequate information and clear scope.
  • Travel to customer sites up to 75% to verify layouts and requirements.
  • Develop improved process flows and solutions with the sales team.
  • Translate approved concept layout into a quote/bid using Microsoft Business Central.
  • Ensure pricing is reviewed and approved by the sales team.
  • Archive and reference equipment specs for future proposals.
  • Process approved quotes into sales orders and confirm scope with CMS team and customer.
  • Attend handoffs to ensure specs are handed off to production/engineering timely.
  • Calculate throughput volumes, belt speeds and capacities.
  • Specify conveyors and equipment based on customer needs.

Team members work closely with clients to deliver reliable, efficient systems and long-term service support.

Role Description: Sales Engineer

Responsible for identifying and specifying project scope, layout, and formulating an official quote to thecustomer as directed by the sales management team.

− Reviews quote requests for adequate information and a clear, concise scope of supply/work.

− Reviews existing and proposed layouts for accuracy. Travel to Customer sites is required up to 75%.

− Works with sales team to develop better process flows and solutions to improve customer processes.

− Translates approved concept layout into a quote/bid using the CMS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool, Microsoft Business Central (BC).

− Ensures pricing is reviewed/approved by the sales team.

− Specs and archives equipment in an organized manner to utilize for future proposals.

− Processes approved/sold quotes into sales orders and confirms scope with CMS team and customer.

− Attends handoff and other relevant meetings to ensure project specifications and details are handed off to production/engineering in a timely manner.

− Calculates throughput volumes, belt speeds, and capacities.

− Specifies conveyors and Equipment based on customers’ needs and application.

Qualifications:

Degree: BS or AS in Engineering / Design (or a combination of relevant experience as defined in the requirements below.)

List years of experience needed for position: 2-3 years in project management/technical field, preferably in the poultry industry.

Identify years of experience in lieu of education: 2-3

Specific skill sets necessary for the position: AutoCAD 2019 or later, Inventor 2019 or later, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Business Central. (FUTURE: Navisworks, Plant 3D, 3D Scanning)

  • Physical requirements: May be required to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment. Travel is required to Customer sites up to 75%.
