Job summary

Milk Makeup is seeking a Sales & Education Executive to lead in-store Sephora and Ulta sales across the assigned territory, delivering high-touch client service and on-brand education. The ROLE:

As the Sales & Education Executive you will be responsible for achieving (and exceeding) the planned retail sales goals in an assigned territory through the development of in-store Sephora and Ulta teams, as well as management and execution of special events. A strong understanding of clean beauty, genuine & contagious affinity for MILK Makeup product, delivery of high-touch service, and focus on client development are keys to success. A strong communicator, the Sales & Education Executive will help to drive and execute key initiatives, optimize category strategies while leading best in class sales, training and education.

How You’ll THRIVE:
  • Drive sales across your designated territory to exceed budget by creating effective selling, eventing, education and customer experience strategies.
  • Strategically schedule all office hours, travel, meetings, sales support, events and training to maximize in-store effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quarterly retail strategies, training programs, and consistent communication with stores to optimize performance and surpass sales objectives while maintaining seamless alignment with brand initiatives and retail partners.
  • Ensure call cycle cadence is executed yourself and your direct reports, monitoring performance and working with your Regional Manager to make adjustments as the business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to analyze retail sales and productivity data, ensuring the 3-month rolling business plan aligns with sales targets and implementing proactive corrective measures to drive performance.
  • Demonstrate role model selling behaviors, side by side coaching, artistry techniques and the ability to provide and accept actionable feedback with direct reports and in-store teams.
  • Strategically plan and execute in-store events designed to accelerate retail growth, elevate the client experience, and scale brand awareness across the assigned territory.
  • Uphold Sephora and Ulta policies by maintaining a thorough understanding of retailer specific guides and onboarding materials. Ensure timely compliance with district leadership protocols, walk-in gratis policies, in-store regulations, and health and safety standards.
Merchandising and Stock:
  • Ensure visual merchandising compliance for all in store fixtures; ensure the consistent implementation of on-time merchandising updates, uphold MILK Makeup’s image, identity and hygiene in accordance with MILK Makeup standards.
  • Maintain optimized inventory levels, proper tester maintenance, gondola and fixture cleanliness.
Communication:
  • Meet with Sephora and Ulta leadership (store, district, regional) on an ongoing basis, to develop strong partnerships, communicate action plans, and brand initiatives that align Milk Makeup’s goals with retailer objectives.
  • Plan seasonal market visits with Milk Leadership and Retail Leadership (DM, DEL, RBSEM), to celebrate the successes and discuss the opportunities of your market.
  • Communicate with your Regional Manager regularly with a status update and respond to emails and Gchat conversations within 24 hours .
  • Maintain a calendar and schedule that accurately reflects your time worked in store, travel, and approved office hours.
Budgets:
  • Follow and adhere to travel, expense, gratis, toa, collateral, supply and kit budget guidelines as set by your manager. Ensure your call cycle is supported within T&E budget.
  • Use Egencia to book any applicable travel and maintain receipts and records for reporting in concur.
  • Turn in all expenses, approved timesheets, and invoices on time checking for accuracy before submitting.
  • Ensure freelancers, coordinators and specialists submit invoices, timesheets and out of pocket expenses on time for review and approval.
Leadership:
  • Hire, coach and develop freelance, coordinators and specialists to ensure their hitting sales targets, regularly review performance and course correcting when necessary.
  • Manage the onboarding process for direct reports, including scheduling, training and meeting on a weekly basis to discuss their assigned call cycle.
  • Conduct performance reviews on a yearly basis and collaborate with direct reports to construct a growth plan that aligns with the brands business plan.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory and to other locations as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during store visits, events, trainings, and retailer activations.
  • Ability to lift and move products, event materials, and equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and travel days, as required by the role.
We’d like YOU to have:
  • Must have two or more years of experience in field sales, leadership, management or training experience within the retail cosmetics field. Experience within Sephora/Ulta is preferred.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Must have exceptional planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to exhibit basic beauty make up skills.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge and experience using platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Docs and Excel.
  • Must be able to travel, drive, and maintain a valid driver’s license, with proof of insurance. Must be physically able to carry boxes of 40-60 lbs and work in a fragrance filled, cosmetic environment.
  • Expectation to stand 8 hours per day when scheduled.
  • Open availability and expected flexibility to work holidays and weekends based on business needs.
