Daily Thread is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales and deliver a top-tier customer experience in our East Rutherford store. You will support store strategy, lead a team, and ensure smooth opening/closing, inventory, and merchandising operations.

The role emphasizes coaching, onboarding new hires, and collaborating with the Store Manager on recruitment while maintaining high store standards and positive customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience, ideally with 1+ years in Assistant Manager responsibilities.
• A results-oriented leader with a strong sales focus.
• Positive, high-energy, friendly personality; willing to initiate customer interactions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for customers and partners.
• Proficient with POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and use ladders or stairs.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor employees.

Responsibilities

• Exceed store sales goals and mentor team members.
• Devise and implement sales strategies to optimize revenue and customer experience.
• Capture and manage client information and address objections.
• Understand store merchandise, pricing, and floor/stockroom layout.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and visual merchandising.
• Use POS, CRM, and inventory systems effectively.
• Follow loss prevention and operational policies.
• Assist Store Manager with coaching and onboarding new hires.
• Collaborate on recruitment and interviewing for new staff.
