Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Sales Director for HVAC to own our largest multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contract. This role is an individual contributor with no direct reports, focusing on high-value HVAC groups across multiple locations.

You will close large cycles, manage negotiations with owners and regional operators, and expand accounts as they sign, leveraging inbound leads and our development team for strategic support.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of closing $1M+ annually on multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to HVAC groups or multi-location buyers.
• Ability to manage long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Prefers closing business over people management.

Responsibilities

• Own full deal cycle from discovery to close (3–12 months) on large multi-location HVAC accounts.
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Expand: add locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to build compelling proposals for key deals.

No direct reports. This is an individual contributor seat going after strategic, multi-location HVAC accounts: large groups you open and close yourself.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for multi-location HVAC and home service groups. As Sales Director for HVAC, you own our largest multi-location HVAC deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with multi-location HVAC and home service groups, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: HVAC groups with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into HVAC groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
