Job summary

Centari, Inc. seeks a Sales Director, Financial Services to win Centari's largest fund engagements. You will manage a book of institutional GPs and asset owners, coordinating across legal, finance, IR, and portfolio teams to secure multi-party agreements.

This role is based in our New York office, with travel up to 30%. You will own revenue, drive term negotiations, and build deep expertise in one or two private markets sub-segments, representing Centari at industry events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise sales of software, data, or information services to private equity, private credit, or other private markets firms.
• You've personally sourced and closed six to seven-figure deals with private markets buyers.
• Relationships with buyer personas in the private markets, like GCs, CFOs, heads of fund operations, or operating partners.
• Fluency in the documents the private markets run on: credit agreements, purchase agreements, LPAs, and side letters.
• Nice to have: sold a new category at an early-stage company.

Responsibilities

• You run the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed engagement, leveraging existing relationships and building new ones.
• You orchestrate the multi-team sale with GC, finance, and IR stakeholders to reach a decision.
• You negotiate pilot criteria and pricing, stay with the account through onboarding and conversion to a paying engagement.
• You develop segment expertise in private markets and represent Centari at industry events.
