VeraData The Donor Science Company seeks a dynamic Director of Sales to enhance client engagement with nonprofit organizations. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships, and utilizing data analytics to drive successful fundraising campaigns. The ideal candidate possesses 5-8 years of experience in sales within the nonprofit sector and a strong strategic sales acumen.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to expand our client base among nonprofit organizations and the agencies that serve them. This role requires strong connections across the nonprofit sector and proven success in selling analytics driven direct marketing solutions that deliver impactful fundraising outcomes. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, prospecting new clients, and effectively communicating the VeraData value proposition. Based on the client’s needs, this role will maintain ownership at a senior level and work collaboratively across the VeraData organization to ensure effective results are delivered and future opportunities are renewed.

Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification: Research and identify new business opportunities within the nonprofit sector, focusing on organizations that would benefit from our services.
Client Prospecting: Actively prospect and develop relationships with potential clients, including both nonprofit organizations and related agencies
Value Prop Communication: Effectively articulate the value of VeraData’s suite of solutions, including data analytics, agency and creative services, and strategic production capabilities, to potential clients.
Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of nonprofits, ensuring alignment with their fundraising goals.
Relationship Management: Maintain senior-level relationships with our clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional results and fostering a long-term partnership.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including our analytics, agency, and production groups, to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
Renewal and Upselling: Identify opportunities for renewable business and upsell additional services based on client needs and emerging trends.
Performance KPIs: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, client satisfaction, and campaign effectiveness to inform ongoing strategy and future improvements.
Qualifications:
5 – 8 years of proven track record of success in sales and business development within the nonprofit sector.
Strong understanding of fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and the unique challenges facing nonprofit organizations.
Deep contacts across nonprofit organizations and/or agencies serving these organizations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
Experience with omni-channel marketing solutions, including digital and direct mail campaigns
Proficiency in data analysis and utilizing insights to inform sales strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s Degree not required, but preferred
Proficient with Sales Management Software; SalesForce.com a plus
