Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Sales Director to lead field-based general and specialized laboratory sales and service teams in San Diego County, CA through Palm Springs, CA.

You will hire and develop account executives, set regional strategy, drive quota attainment, and collaborate with marketing. A Bachelor's degree is required; the pay range is ~ $150,000 - $190,000 with potential annual bonus.

The Sales Director is a front-line sales leader responsible for execution of the commercial sales strategy for profitable growth in geographic area for general and specialized laboratory sales and service representatives.

This is a field-based sales leadership position covering San Diego County, CA over to Palm Springs, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Hire and retain an effective sales team of Account Executives and Account Managers
• Coach, motivate and develop sales talent
• Establish regional action plans and market strategies
• Set metrics and accountability standards to drive performance towards goals
• Manage and measure sales force performance and provide feedback to reps
• Conduct district analytics and market intelligence
• Marshal and manage resources to solve problems and achieve plans
• Support key account development
• Provide input to regional marketing efforts

• Achievement of quota (retention and growth)

Qualifications:

Knowledge:

• Knows the healthcare industry (payors/providers) and general economics of business
• Diagnostics/laboratory experience
• Leadership experience (direct reports)

Skills:

• Solid PC skills including Outlook, Excel, SalesForce.com, SAVO

Education:

Bachelor's degree (Required)

Pay Range

~$150,000 - $190,000

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
