Job summary

Majestic Care of Commons of Perrysburg is seeking a Director of Marketing and Admissions to lead inquiry responses, tours, and admission coordination. You will drive sales and marketing programs, maintain bed availability knowledge, and improve occupancy through strategic relationships with referral sources.

The role requires a business/communications background with healthcare relations experience and a track record in sales/marketing within senior care.

Qualifications

• Two years of equivalent sales/marketing experience.
• Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree in Business/Communications preferred.
• Previous healthcare community relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families, and referral sources.
• Conduct community tours and manage the admission process with bed availability data.
• Coordinate sales and marketing programs with the team and track results.
• Maintain relationships with referral sources and monitor changes in admissions and census.
• Develop and implement marketing plans and oversee budgets relevant to occupancy.
• Collaborate with DNS and BOM to ensure efficient admission decisions.

Position Overview:

The Director of Marketing and Admissions manages the community inquiry and

admission process and provides customers with community-related information via community tours, personal visits/assessment, conversations, and follow-up. The DOMA coordinates and implements effective sales and marketing programs with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.

• Conduct community tours.

• Manage the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and community services information at all times.

• Manage the inquiry process professionally, timely, and with appropriate follow-up.

• Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.

• Make calls to outside the community (medical, insurance, legal, and financial

  professionals, and senior organizations, appropriate special interest groups, hospital

  discharge planners, and other community contacts).

• Develop and maintain relationships to advice referral sources of bed availability and new product and services.

• Maintain current database of existing and potential referral sources.

• Utilize company’s sales practices and sales tracking tools.

• Alert appropriate department heads and community staff of projected changes: i.e.,

  admissions, bed changes, and discharges, through daily admission meeting to discuss forthcoming changes.

• Utilize bed management principles.

• Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and the Business Office Manager (BOM) to assure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions.

• Recommend admission decisions to community management.

• Coordinate the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans, serves as a chairperson for marketing team meetings, monitor budgets and tracks results.

• Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal regulations and reimbursement

  guidelines (Medicare and Medicaid).

Qualifications:

• Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Communications field preferred.

• Two years equivalent experience in a sales/marketing position or Admissions

  Coordinator position in lieu of degree.

• Previous healthcare community relations’ experience preferred.
