Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to identify and qualify new leads in the Americas region. You will set up introductory meetings with the Americas Strategic sales team and work with Directors, AEs, and Specialists on targeted campaigns.

You will develop new leads to hit personal and team revenue targets. Strong communication and CRM discipline are essential for success in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in sales or SDR roles.
• Comfort with cold calling and prospecting.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience selling information or compliance tools is a plus.

About the Role

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying new leads in order to set-up introductory meetings with members of the Americas Strategic sales team.

You Will:

• Call current and prospective clients to set-up meetings for our Professional Information Business suite of products.

• Work closely with Sales Directors, Account Executives and Sales Specialists to devise sales campaigns for specific segments. Identify target groups, build prospect lists and generate qualified sales leads through targeted campaigns.

• Identify, qualify and develop new leads to achieve and exceed personal and team revenue goals.

• Develop necessary internal relationships with all parts of the Professional Information Business team (Data Strategy, Product, Marketing & Sales).

• Maintain records of sales calls, contacts and sales campaigns in the global CRM to provide timely management information.

You Have:

• 1+ year experience required
• Comfort and confidence with cold calling.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proactive mindset, with a 'can do' attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast changing environment.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills a must.
• Experience in selling information and compliance tools to senior business decision makers a plus.
• Knowledge or ability to learn the processes and daily workflow of compliance personnel.
• Ability to utilize effective influencing strategies to gain agreement or commitment to proposed solutions in order to help advance the sales process to the next level.
• Ability to drive new business opportunities within new prospects, as well as ability to upsell to existing Dow Jones customers within a team selling environment.
• Ability to identify key customer issues to determine whether it is appropriate to set-up a meeting with a specialist.
• Ability to maintain effectiveness when working closely with people of diverse cultures or background.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple activities and re-prioritize when necessary to ensure revenue goals are achieved.
• Degree level education preferred
