Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Client Engagement Specialist to manage renewals and retain existing contract revenue within defined accounts. You will collaborate with Account Executives to grow the business and ensure client needs are met to support renewals.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will own renewal strategies, monitor high-risk accounts, and drive successful renewals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven success in customer engagement or B2B sales.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the retention strategy for assigned Strategic accounts with a renewal plan.
  • Provide monthly reports highlighting high risk renewal accounts and turnaround ideas.
  • Ensure client training and product utilization with the Product Training Specialist team.
  • Oversee the renewal lifecycle from pricing to invoicing and support.
  • Support new sales into existing accounts to maximize ROI for Dow Jones.
  • Develop deep account understanding and identify value for DJ services.
  • Identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell with the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate client records and communicate with clients via telephone and email.

About the Role

The Client Engagement Specialist (CES) manages all renewal aspects of the relationship with a defined set of customers. You will retain the existing contract revenue within existing buying centers and support new sales into these accounts made by the Account Executive. You will partner with our teams to ensure the clients needs are met to support the renewal. You will develop and drive successful renewals ensuring a strong revenue base for Dow Jones. Success will be measured based on the retention rates of your assigned accounts. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

You Will
  • Own the retention strategy for assigned Strategic accounts by building and executing a renewal plan
  • Provide a monthly report to manager highlighting high risk renewal accounts within the region and strategy/ideas to turnaround
  • Ensure appropriate levels of customer training and product utilization by working with the Product Training Specialist team and monitoring internal reports
  • Oversee the renewal lifecycle; from pricing, contracting, to invoicing and client support, so customer concerns get addressed correctly throughout the fiscal year
  • Support new sales into existing accounts to ensure maximum customer Return on investment with DJ
  • Know your customer including the development of good account understanding, business groups deriving value from DJ services, understanding the clients' business/industry, competitor solutions they are using and the client's current and developing needs.
  • Understand how your clients derive value from DJ services/products, know the people involved including decision makers within those groups.
  • Must identify opportunities for increased revenue within the set of accounts (up-selling and cross-selling) and work with other members of the sales team to follow through on such opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate client records within our systems. You will communicate with clients mainly via telephone and email.
You Have
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven success in customer engagement or B2B sales

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
