Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Brookfield, WI is seeking a full-time Sales Development Lead to manage and mentor the SDR team, build pipeline, and drive market share across North America. The role includes onboarding, coaching, and evolving the SDR playbook to improve efficiency.

You will recruit, train, and motivate the team, manage CRM activity in Dynamics, and collaborate with Sales and Operations. A flexible schedule may be offered after onboarding based on performance goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of Fastenal work experience in sales, admin, education, marketing or customer service, or 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Motivated and self-directed with ability to motivate others.
  • Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
  • Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
  • Lift, slide and lower packages 25lbs-50lbs, up to 75lbs.
  • Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

OVERVIEW

Working as a Full-time Sales Development Lead, lead a group who support sales operations and be responsible for enabling other Sales Development Representatives (SDR) to be successful in their roles, in order to build pipeline and drive market share for our organization in North America and/or internationally. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leading, onboarding and training new and existing sales development representatives
  • Recruiting, hiring and maintaining recruiting relationships
  • Providing leadership and motivating the SDR team to achieve collective and individual goals
  • Maintaining and continuing innovative development of the SDR playbook with processes and best practices to ensure efficiencies
  • Performing organizational research and discovery of prospective customers
  • Identifying and qualifying prospective contract customers and key decision makers
  • Recording all activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other systems as necessary
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess at least 1 year of Fastenal work experience in industry sales, administration, education, marketing or customer service OR possess at least 1 year of work experience in a supervisory role in industry sales, administration, marketing or customer service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of employees

  • Knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and MS Dynamics CRM
  • Previous work experience in sales development, lead generation or research
