Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in business discipline.
• Valid state Driver’s License.
• Preferred: Major in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Sales.
• Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience.
• High level of professionalism and ability to work with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with various departments to understand the life cycle of steel and DJJ's workflow with Nucor mills.
• Shadow experienced commodities traders to learn how they develop new relationships with customers.
• Strengthen team-building skills by working with other interns on projects and attending the DJJ & Nucor Intern Summit.
• Attend customer meetings and tours of Steel Mills and Scrap Yards.
• Participate in paid overnight travel to supplier and consumer sites.
• Present projects and findings to leadership teams.
• Full-time conversion may require relocation to district offices across the U.S.
