Job summary

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of The Woodlands is seeking a creative, customer-focused kitchen and bath designer/salesperson. You will design remodeling projects, prepare scopes, manage costs, and coordinate with suppliers, trades, and the production team to bring client visions to life.

The role requires strong communication, 3D visualization, space planning, and time management, with travel to job sites for measuring and project wrap-up. DOE salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or relevant work experience in design/remodeling.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.
• Good communication with clients, staff and trades necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and design projects with the sales/design team, clients, suppliers and trades.
• Develop designs for interior remodeling projects.
• Create scope of work documents for remodeling projects.
• Order and track materials and labor costs.
• Cost and estimate kitchen and bath remodels.
• Assist in staff in the Design Center.
• Collaborate with Production to ensure smooth design-to-build transition.
• Travel to job sites for measuring, evaluations and closeout.

DUTIES

• The kitchen & bath designer/salesperson will coordinate and design projects collaboratively with other members of our sales/design team, clients, suppliers, and trades, allowing our clients can see their vision come to life.
• Responsibilities include:
• Developing designs for interior remodeling projects
• Creating scope of work documents to define remodeling projects
• Ordering and tracking of materials and labor costs
• Costing and estimating kitchen and bath remodeling projects
• Helping to maintain and staff our Design Center
• Working collaboratively with our Production team to ensure excellent transition from Design to Build
• Travel to and from job sites for initial measuring, ongoing evaluations, and closing out of project

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

The kitchen and bath designer/salesperson will be a unique individual who:

• Can communicate effectively with clients, staff, suppliers, and tradespeople
• Can creatively solve problems
• Is able to plan and prioritize while focusing on detail orientation and effective time management
• Is committed to the team
• Can visualize in 3D, has space planning capabilities and mathematical reasoning
• Is eager to continually learn, grow, and keep on top of design trends
• Has required basic computer knowledge; intermediate experience in MS Office suite preferred; experience with Social Media is a bonus!
• Is able to travel locally (mileage is reimbursed)
• Has some experience with 20/20 or other CAD design software
• Associate’s degree required, or relevant work experience in the industry (Bachelor’s a plus)

PAY & BENEFITS

• Salary range $50,000 to $75,000 DOE
